the Cook the Thief his Wife and her Lover

August 6th, 2010

Terrible TV Tuesdays brings you The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover this Tuesday, all Tuesday. Watch John Paul Gaultier’s costuming and Peter Greenaway’s directorial genius with Aunt Mary and company.

Who could resist a “romantic crime drama” as a genre? Certainly not I. And it’s the uncut version, too, so we get an extra 25+ minutes of magic for watching.

Filthy fashion encouraged, drinks and food recommended, attendance mandatory. Flash your fresh Filthy fashions for a free PBR (or $1 off of the drink of your choice).

Grog & Flog- August 17th

August 7th, 2010

Showing of the Goonies at the Bijou (rumors of a costume contest abound!). Pirate’s Island will be sending a representative in full pirate regalia, and Aunt Mary will be serving grog (as well as less authentic alternatives for all ye land-lubbers). Come down in yer jackboots and shake yer booty!

Bonus applause for the souls brave enough to really rock the pirate look- and accolades a-plenty from THE Scratchy Jones (he doesn’t come out often, so catch him while you can)!

And for those looking forward to the “Flog” in Grog & Flog, you won’t be disappointed!
